Don't Lose Your Bond Paperwork

If you've recently been through bond court no doubt you received a variety of paperwork. Some of it may have been explained by the judge, some of it maybe not. All of it however is important, and you should try to keep up with it.

Depending on the type of case that you can have the paperwork you receive can provide you with:

  • Your first appearance date (miss it and get a bench warrant)
  • Verification of no-contact bond restrictions (or lack of them)
  • The required form to challenge a license suspension for DUI cases
  • The opportunity to request a preliminary hearing

When you meet with an attorney you will want to bring this paperwork with you. That way they will be in the best position to understand your case, and exactly what steps need to be taken to protect your rights.
