The Lexington County Traffic Court is located at 139 East Main Street, Lexington, South Carolina. This is the "old" Courthouse and is located on the corner of South Lake Drive and Main Street in downtown Lexington.

This Court is where most traffic and misdemeanor criminal charges brought by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Transport Police and some Sheriff's Deputies are heard. Typically there are multiple sessions of Court held here. Court is presided over by a County Magistrate Judge. The Court has all of the authority of a Magistrate Court - including jurisdiction up to thirty days in jail for most charges. By statute some charges heard in this Court can carry more jail time.  Examples are certain DUI or DUS charges.

All trials in the Traffic Court are conducted by a judge without a jury. Appeals from this Court are taken to the Lexington County Court of Common Pleas.
